Inspire a Generation is an initiative that is driven by British Wheelchair Basketball and funded by the National Lottery / Sport England.
The programme seeks to bring to local communities a greater breadth of opportunity for people to access and play the sport of wheelchair basketball.
Inspire a Generation is a fun and informal six week introduction course to wheelchair basketball. These courses will be delivered by our network of local Community Activators and Partners, who are specifically trained (and DBS checked) to offer these short courses.
The ambition of Inspire a Generation is to support more people to become active and enjoy the exciting and inclusive sport of wheelchair basketball. The long-term aim is to help those who sign-up to a six week wheelchair basketball course to continue to enjoy the sport through joining our thriving club network and remaining active.
Wheelchair basketball is an inclusive sport that essentially means anyone can play irrespective of age, ability, gender etc.
